Philly Shows Up (the fans, that is)

Wings (vs SASK): 9,695

  • season high (8 games)

The Wings have one home game remaining: this Saturday 3/30 vs Buffalo. In back to back weeks, the team has been dismantled (lost 12-21 to Vancouver in Week 17), but the fans have shown out. The city needs to be commended.

Attendances Predictions – week 18

  • Wings (vs BUF): Expect another season high
  • Knighthawks (vs HFX): A battle of the original K-Hawks vs the … current Knighthawks (?) … expect a good showing for Rochester standards
  • Desert Dogs (vs VAN): Las Vegas could surprise some folks, even if the team stinks and the opponent isn’t a fan favorite

Fans Embrace Thursday Night NLL?

It appears that the National Lacrosse League lucked into some kind of attendances loophole: Thursday nights. Fans were praising the game. Granted, it might have to wait for NFL season to be over, but who is watching that on Thursdays anyways? The biggest hurdle would be the players’ work schedules.
