The Monday After – College Football Betting – Week 6

Spread the love

After our two-week hot streak, we ran into some unexpected trouble this week with our College Football Betting. We finished the week at 2-2-1, but look to improve heading into the midway. We’re still up good money, so hang in there bettors!

Maryland (+20) @ #4 Ohio State – The Buckeyes looked sluggish in the first half. Missed tackles, a non-existent running game, and a vanilla pass offense helped Maryland keep tied 10-10 at the half. As if someone finally introduced Kyle McCord to Marvin Harrison Jr., the Bucks exploded in the second half. They outscored the Terps 27-7, leading to our push.

#23 LSU @ #21 Missouri (+4) – This bet looked great for three quarters. Mizzou led 32-27 entering the fourth quarter, then the wheels fell off. LSU won the fourth, 22-7, behind Jayden Daniels to crush our dreams of a winning parlay for three weeks in a row. Daniels passed for 259 and rushed for 130 to help the away Tigers get back in the win column.

#2 Michigan (-18.5) @ Minnesota – As predicted, Michigan dominated this game in all phases. Outscoring the Gophers 28-0 in the second half to win going away, 52-10. This was an easy game to predict.

Late BC Touchdown takes down Army

Boston College @ Army (-2.5) – We thought this was a gimme. A mediocre rush defense versus a historically good running system. Unfortunately, the Eagles scored with 25 seconds left to steal one away from the Black Knights. Boston College even outrushed Army (299-161). I guess we are done betting on military schools for now.

Consolation Prize

Western Michigan @ Mississippi State (OVER 57) – What equates to nothing, really, we got this one right to even our record for the week. Miss St won 41-28. Kudos to Western for hanging around in a tough environment. If you take away the 10-0 first quarter, this was essentially an even matchup.

If it makes you feel any better, my personal parlay took a bad beat. My nine-teamer was locked up for $350 profit, until Miami, Fl decided to not go on a knee. Then their defense took a coffee break, and whammy. No profit. This is betting in a nutshell, bad beats are a part of the game.

Stay tuned on Friday when a new parlay is built.
