Sunday Night DFS Showdown:Dolphins v. Eagles

It’s going to be a battle of the offenses tonight in Philly. These two teams are going to be doing a track meet-up and down the field with all the star power on offense. The defenses will have to see who can bend, but not break. It will be hard to narrow down what stars to play and leave out. I’ve got you covered for this Sunday night DFS showdown in the city of brotherly love. Let’s get into it.

Captain

Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (DK-$9300/FD-$10,000)

I know Dallas isn’t the glitz and glamor captain pick like Hill, Hurts, or even Tua. He makes sense in this showdown though because he will get you points and value. He allows you to get 4 of the top 6 players if you want. You have to go bargain hunting, but again it’s worth it. He has only produced one big receiving line, but we know he’s capable of being a top TE. The eagles use him as one. It’s just the yardage and scores haven’t been there this year. In a high scoring game I think Goedert gets into the end zone and pays off as the captain pick.

Flex

Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins (DK-$12,000/FD-$16,500)

Is Hill very expensive? Yes, but he is worth it. He has been one of the most electrifying players in the league this year…and most years. The man does backflips after TDs and even when he seems covered finds a way to get open. The Eagles secondary is good with Slay and Bradberry, but Hill will find a way. Expect him to be a top point scorer like he’s proven to be all year long while racking up 42 receptions for 814 yards and 6 TDs.

D’Andre Swift, Philadelphia Eagles (DK-$8000/FD-$12,000)

Swift had 10 carries for 18 yards and eight receptions on 10 targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in week 6. Not a great ground performance but he made up for it as a receiver. I’m going with the Eagles running back over the Dolphins for the simple reason defense line. The Eagles D line is tough and I expect they stymie Mostert up a lot tonight. Swift has been consistently in the high teens for scoring and with Lane Johnson back the O-line is back to full strength.

Bargain Bin

Julio Jones or Chase Claypool

Both of these guys are newcomers to their teams with Claypool being inactive in Week 6 and Julio signing this week. I expect both to see the field in some capacity tonight and both are valued $2000 or under on DraftKings and at $7000. On Fanduel. What can we expect from them? No clue, but at their price if either makes a catch or does anything productive it helps your lineup. This is a game you try and stack the board, even if it means taking a gamble and getting a goose egg with your bargain play.
