Mets sign Vladimir Miguel Guerrero
Mets sign Vladimir Miguel Guerrero; Son of Hall of Famer and Brother of Blue Jays Star
During a press conference on Monday, it was announced that the New York Mets have signed Vladi Miguel Guerrero, an outfielder from the Dominican Republic. Guerrero will be receiving a signing bonus of $100,000, as reported by Francys Romero. The outfielder is the son of Vladimir Guerrero and the brother of Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vlad Guerrero Jr. The Mets have plans to sign a total of 20 players on Monday, including four of the top 50 international free agents listed by MLB Pipeline.
It’s worth noting that Guerrero didn’t make the cut in those rankings. Vladimir Guerrero, a Hall of Fame outfielder, is Vladi Miguel’s father. Vladimir Guerrero Jr, a three-time All-Star first baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays, is his younger brother. Vladi Miguel is the third of Guerrero’s sons to sign with an MLB club. In 2023, Pablo Guerrero had signed a deal of $97,500 with the Texas Rangers.
We’ve announced the signing of 20 international players.

Here is a brief scouting report of Vladi Miguel from The Athletic’s Will Sammon from Nov. 30:
It is possible that the Mets have acquired an important player for their upcoming lineup if he takes after his father or brother. His father has hit 449 home runs in the big leagues, while his brother has hit 130. Vladi Miguel is 16 years old and may play in the outfield or at first base as his career advances.
