Haas Formula 1 team principal Guenther Steiner

Deadline, a prominent Hollywood website, has reported that CBS plans to develop a workplace comedy in a single-camera format with Guenther Steiner, the Haas boss in F1. The show will be produced by Steiner, who will not be involved in the writing process. The series will be set in the world of sports and will feature a Steiner-like character as the boss of a team.

Steiner gained widespread recognition after appearing in the F1 docuseries Drive To Survive on Netflix in 2019. His straightforward approach was amplified by the show’s behind-the-scenes footage. His unique and colorful language has made him a fan favorite, with many of his frequently profanity-laced phrases appearing on T-shirts.

Italian-American Steiner started his career in motorsport as a rally mechanic. Later, he held management positions with the Top Run, Jolly Club, and Prodrive’s customer team Allstar. Eventually, he became the director of engineering for Ford’s World Rally Team in the World Rally Championship.

Steiner aware of his fame

In an interview with The Independent earlier this year, Steiner commented on his TV fame. Steiner mentioned that he is not a good actor and prefers to focus on doing his job. He also mentioned that the filming process is very transparent and that they rarely make a meal of things. The honesty of the show is appreciated by viewers.

CBS is a major broadcast network in the United States and has produced several world-renowned comedy shows, including M*A*S*H, Everybody Loves Raymond, and The Big Bang Theory.
