Ducks claim defenseman Lassi Thomson off waivers from Senators
Thomson, 23, has spent the last three years with the AHL’s Belleville Senators, scoring 18 goals and 54 assists for 72 points. In the 2022-23 season, he posted a career-best 33 points in 56 contests.
Drafted 19th overall in 2019 by the Ottawa Senators in the NHL Draft, Thomson has skated in 18 NHL games with the Senators, tallying five assists.
His best season overall was in 2018-19 with Kelowna Rockets of the WHL, where he scored 17 goals and 24 assists in 63 games, for a total of 41 points. No word on the financials at press time for 12oz Sports.
