Week 7 Bloodbath

Sometimes, college football betting is a terrible idea. Case in point, this past Saturday was a nightmare. Upsets and frauds, oh my. I try to warn readers, that these are opinion-based. Now, to be fair to myself, I’m still up over $300 this season. However, weeks like this make me want to take some time off (but I won’t). I’d also like to mention that on my weekly talk show, all three of my Locks of the Week were correct, and I have a hot streak on that show!

Upsets Galore

Stanford @ Colorado (-11.5) – What the hell happened? 29-0 at the half, and we lost in overtime?!?!?!?!? Shaduer was selling merchandise from the locker room and forgot there was a second half to play. Stanford was averaging 19 points a game and outscored Colorado 46-14 after halftime. Time for the Buffs to humble up a little bit, and play all four quarters.

#14 Louisville (-7.5) @ Pitt – Are you kidding me right now? How does Lousiville smack Notre Dame around and then lose to Pitt, a team that could only muster 6 points against West Virginia? This would’ve been a good week to forget to make picks. The Panthers outscored the Cardinals 24-0 in the second half for a 38-21 rain-soaked victory.

#10 USC (+3) @ Notre Dame – Excuse me, USC, but you are a fraud. Notre Dame was dead. Season over. Captain Lincoln Riley and his huge paycheck had no answer. The Heisman QB throws 3 interceptions. Boom, 48-20 embarrassment. I know the Irish were favored, but my goodness. I don’t even think Notre Dame fans saw this coming.

Illinois @ Maryland (-13.5) – This is absolutely ridiculous. Illinois barely fields a football team. For goodness sake, Purdue boat raced Illinois. Their two wins were against a MAC school (by 2 points) and Florida Atlantic by six. I guess Ohio State broke Maryland? The Terps crushed Virginia, Michigan State, and Indiana before the blowout to the Buckeyes. They can’t recover now?

Hey look, we got one

#8 Oregon (+3) @ #7 Washington (OVER 67) – Even this one was a struggle. Both teams averaged nearly 50 a game. It was still a thriller, but if Washington didn’t score in two plays under two minutes to play, we would’ve gone oh-fer.

Nowhere to go but up this week with our college football betting. Check back on Friday.
