NBA DFS Star, Starter, Bench: October 25,2023

We’ve got a full slate of games tonight, which means the lineup possibilities are endless. I’m going to be giving you my three picks that can work in all lineups tonight. The NBA is a roller coaster and knowing who to have in your lineup on a nightly basis can make or break your DFS dreams. I’m here to help, let get into the NBA DFS slate.

Star

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings (DK-$10,300/FD-$9,800)

The Kings we’re a pleasant surprise last season and Sabonis has a lot to do with that. He was averaging 19.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game last season. That means a tough matchup for a subpar Utah defense. Sabonis did a number on the Jazz last year averaging at least 43 ffpg points in all four of their matchups last year. Tonight, he is my Star play because not only does he fit the bill, but the Kings/Jazz game is projected at the highest total of all games. That means plenty of scoring and rebounding opportunities for Sabonis, which is music to my ears.

Starter

Russell Westbrook, L.A. Clippers (DK-$6,500/ FD-$7,800)

Westbrook is a long way from his Oklahoma City days. He once was a terror on the court that dominated all aspects, but now he’s going to be taking a backseat to Kawhi and PG13. That’s not an issue though for Russ. We saw Westbrook average nearly 40 fantasy points per game from December on last year with LA. He has always been able to stuff his stats and his position on the Clippers doesn’t change that. He should get all the opportunities he can handle as the starting point guard for the Clips. Not to mention, Portland is expected to be one of the worst defenses in the NBA. Russ may just run over poor Anfernee Simons.

Bench

Saddiq Bey, Atlanta Hawks (DK-$5000/FD-$5000)

Bey will take over the role vacated by John Collins. He isn’t a bench player, but he’s a guy that’s getting the chance to come from the bench to the starting lineup. Collins’ departure puts him in a far better position to succeed after some   not so pretty seasons with the Pistons. Even last year he wasn’t the spark the Hawks were hoping he would be consistently enough. He did average 13.3 ppg, 4.67 rpg, and 1.48 apg. These are all numbers that should improve if he can stay in the starting 5, which means his price will go up. So get in on Bey when he costs you what a top tier bench player would, but with starter minutes.
