Monday Night DFS Showdown: Packers v. Raiders

The Packers head to Vegas to take on the Raiders in the final game of week 5 for a Monday Night DFS showdown. Both teams are hungry for a win after coming off divisional losses in week 4. In tonights DFS showdown there are plenty of stars to choose from with DaVante Adams and Aaron Jones to name a few. It will be a fun build and I am here to give you some of my picks to get your lineup in the green!

Captain

Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders (DK-$10,500/FD-$12,500)

I’m willing to take a chance on Meyer in the captain spot. With the return of Jimmy G, he should be back to seeing plenty of targets. He has seen 22 targets in two games with Jimmy under the helm. I’m hoping he can see the target and make good on them. Meyers is fully established as the #2 receiver on this team, with little competition. The only man who gets more focus than him is DaVante Adams, and that is what I am looking forward to tonight. Adams getting doubled team and giving Meyers one-on-one opportunities to work with.

Flex

DaVante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders (DK-$11,200/FD-$14,000)

Adams is questionable, but is expected to suit up against his old team. The thought is he’s going to do to them what he has done to some many teams in his career. He is going to light it up, and we have no reason to think otherwise. Adams has 33 catches for 397 and 3 TDs so far this season. He is a top 5 receiver in the league and rarely gets shutdown in any matchup. Jimmy has targeted him 37 times in his starts too, which means he is always the first read, second, and last read.

Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers (DK-$6200/FD-$9500)

The Packers have multiple receivers who have been effective this year, but for roster building, I am taking Reed. He is the lowest value of Doubs, Watson, and himself, but I think he is the second most trusted at the moment. Watson just returned from injury and is still working himself back into the mix. Reed is averaging 3 catches for 50.8 yards a game and a few TDs. Jordan Love spreads the ball around well to his receivers and I don’t think that changes tonight. Reed will get you points and he allows you to spend up for Adams and still have a nice roster build without having a throwaway flex spot.

Bargain Bin

Ameer Abdullah, Las Vegas Raiders (DK-$1000/FD-$7500)

Abdullah is coming in as my bargain bin, but buyer beware. As we get further into the season it is hard finding sub $3000 players who can actually provide any sort of return. I am here to say, Abdullah will give return, but it’s not going to be much or pretty. He is the receiving back behind Jacobs and has seen 9 targets this season. Abdullah has turned those 9 targets into 5 catches and 35 yards, like I said, not pretty. He’s worth a flyer if you’re trying to fit one more big money player.

I hope this helps with your lineup build and that we all end up in the green tonight!
