Reds’ Marte was suspended 80 games for a positive PED test
Noelvi Marte, an infielder for the Cincinnati Reds, has been suspended for 80 games after testing positive for the anabolic steroid Boldenone. ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez reported the news. The suspension will commence at the beginning of the 2024 season, and Marte will be unable to participate in the postseason.
He is the top prospect for the Reds, as per MLB.com, and he made his major league debut in the previous season after being acquired in a trade with the Seattle Mariners in 2022. During his 35 games with the Reds, Marte had a batting average of .316 with three home runs, seven doubles, and 15 RBIs.
