Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli caught Betting

Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli was banned for 7 months by the Italian soccer federation on Tuesday for violating betting regulations. Fagioli, who acknowledged his gambling addiction, agreed to a plea bargain with FIGC that includes therapy for his addiction. The 22-year-old player is currently undergoing therapy for his addiction and informed the Italian soccer federation prosecutor about the situation. He has been working with the authorities to reduce his punishment, which led to the minimum ban of three years being greatly reduced. Fagioli has never placed bets on matches involving Juventus, according to reports.

The FIGC suspended Fagioli for 12 months, but five of those months are commutable in “alternative requirements.” To reduce his sentence, the player must undergo treatment for gambling addiction for at least six months and make a minimum of 10 public appearances at centers for young soccer players and associations for recovering addicts over the next five months. He was also fined 12,500 euros ($13,200). We shed light on this story a few days ago.

Fagioli is one of Italy’s top young midfielders and has played in six of Juventus’ eight Serie A matches this season. However, he is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to the suspension, though he may be able to return for the final two matches after his suspension ends. This season, Fagioli is not the only Juventus player to have been banned. Midfielder Paul Pogba was provisionally suspended after testing positive for testosterone.
