The Waste Management Phoenix Open, one of the most entertaining tournaments on the PGA Tour, is played on Super Bowl weekend, while most sports fans will be focused on the NFL. The tournament boasts a star-studded field, promising a highly competitive competition from beginning to end.
With a reputation as the highest-attended tournament of the year, TPC Scottsdale’s 16th hole has become an iconic feature of golfing culture. The “party hole,” a par-3, 162-yard hole, is one of the shortest on the tour and allows spectators to boo golfers. Fans have the unique tradition of tossing beers into the air to celebrate hole-in-ones.
